About the Film: Synopsis: End Effect BLACKPITCH Film Synopsis:

The idea for the video was to create our own artistic document of personal plastic usage. Not a critique as such. More an acknowledgement of how damn useful plastic can be, how beautiful along with how permanent and problematic.

We collected all our personal plastic for a 2 month period. We filled a room. It was a massive and sobering amount. We used most of it in the video.

What was your drive behind making this film?

Behind the Scene

Karolina Wyrwal: We wanted to created a new imaginary world from something that already exists. We wanted it to be a patchwork of things we found, things that we collected and items that can transform. All was found, nothing was bought.

How you feel when you are awarded with the MP FILM AWARD Award?

Karolina Wyrwal: Appreciation - its not your typical music video.

Can you tell us about the greatest moment during shooting this film?

Behind the Scene

Karolina Wyrwal: It was when we first arrived at the shooting place... it was huge! And all the collected material made of plastic simply disappeared there. The concept we had just wouldn't work in this space and we had to improvise.

How rigorously did you stick to the script while shooting?

Karolina Wyrwal: We had to improvise. All that was planned just didn't work in the space. I was the best part of the creation!

Where there any onset problems During the filming of the film & how did you deal with it?

Behind the Scene

Karolina Wyrwal: Many! Stay cool and creative and pick your team well that’s what will save you. Focusing on the goal and staying positive in the key.

Do you have any advice for young filmmakers out there? Or like yourself?

Karolina Wyrwal: Keep going.

Do you think it is essential to go to a film institute in order to become a successful filmmaker?

Behind the Scene

Karolina Wyrwal: Depends. I wish I did but then I wouldn't have my dancing career.. The clock was ticking. Maybe now? There's always a now isn't it if you wish?

Which film has inspired you the most?

Karolina Wyrwal: This answer does not exist.

Which particular film maker has influenced you the most?

Behind the Scene

Karolina Wyrwal: I think Darren Aronofsky and Lars von Tier were the two most accessible in my country before the internet exploded. I did feel very inspired.

Which book would you love to make a film out of one day?

Karolina Wyrwal: The Master and The Margarita my all time favourite

If you got the opportunity to go back in time & change something in any particular movie of yours, then which movie & what changes will you opt for?

Karolina Wyrwal: I will take it as a lesson. The past is a witness of your current state and knowledge. I would reflect, remember and move on.

If you were to shoot the film again, what would you do differently?

Karolina Wyrwal: Nothing

What is your greatest achievement till date?

Karolina Wyrwal: Collaborate with the people I admire.

How do you pick yourself up after a failed film?

Karolina Wyrwal: Do another.
